After three years, we’re coming together in person in the spirit of collective healing, celebrating community, and renewed commitment to a world free from violence. WSCADV’s annual conference is a time for advocates from all over Washington to come together to learn, share, and connect. We can’t wait to see you!

Come learn about the Cultural Placement Assessment approach developed by Mother Nation. This approach was designed especially for Native American survivors, and survivors experiencing multi-abuse trauma, drugs and alcohol, and historical trauma. Participants complete a guided self-inventory during the recovery and healing process. They are able to see what areas they want to grow in and change. Since this sometimes leads participants to question who they are, the process also helps them to define their purpose and allows the advocate to support healthy healing decisions for their life choices.

Mother Nation is a non-profit organization offering cultural services, advocacy, mentorship and homeless prevention services to celebrate and inspire the success of Native American women and families. The design of each program is to honor the beauty and strength of Native American culture, spirituality and values built on the ancestral strength of each participant. Mother Nation is committed to always providing culturally based traditional teachings throughout all service areas. Our goal is to ensure healing and wellness with cultural resilience offering quality service to those desiring healing from historical and intergenerational trauma.

Mother Nation’s Yeha:wi (“she’s holding her sacred”) Service Center provides mobile advocacy services to adult Native American homeless women experiencing multi-abuse trauma. Advocates work with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, Indian Child Welfare (child protection cases), and in recovery from drugs and alcohol. All Yeha:wi Team members provide culturally based and survivor centered advocacy to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and commercial sexual exploitation. Advocates also support Spirit Journey House residents. Participants in need of cultural healing services can be referred to Mother Nation’s Cultural Services Team and Yeha:wi healing circles during their transition to new beginnings. All Mother Nation participants have ongoing full access to the spiritual support needed with guidance from our team of Elders.
