Welcome to On Purpose: 2022 WSCADV Conference! We are so glad you’re here. After three years, we’re coming together in person in the spirit of collective healing, celebrating community, and renewed commitment to a world free from violence. WSCADV’s annual conference is a time for advocates from all over Washington to come together to learn, share, and connect. We can’t wait to see you!
Want to know more about what to expect at our event? Check out the 2022 conference guide! We’re doing everything we can to keep each other safe, but if you do start feeling sick, or you test positive for Covid-19 during or after the conference, please let us know and review the current quarantine and isolation guidelines.
For many survivors who use substances, it is a way to cope with the traumatic effects of abuse, while some are also coerced into using by their abusive partner. Providing support to survivors experiencing this dependency can be challenging for any advocate to navigate. Come join the conversation on supporting survivors to make safer choices and encourage self-empowerment as they navigate their recovery. We will explore practical skills for relapse prevention, benefits and barriers to treatment programs, and discuss ways to integrate harm reduction into housing and shelter settings.
